Does your kid hate vegetables?

Nothing to worry about it! The Broccoli cutlets that are filled with the nutritional value of broccoli are also packed with great taste. It is an exciting delicacy for the kids. The cutlets can be served with tomato ketchup or mild green chutney the way your kid prefers. The good calorie based snack will add to your kid's overall nutritional intake and will keep him/ her happy and energetic for the remaining day.

Ingredients

  • Broccoli - 1 cup broccoli florets
  • Potato - 1 medium sized
  • Onion - 1 small sized
  • Ginger- 1 small piece chopped finely
  • Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
  • Bread crumbs - 3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Oil - as needed for frying

Instructions

  • Measure and prepare the ingredients. Wash and boil potato for about 20 minutes or until soft. Pill off the skin and mash the potato well, then set aside.
  • Wash broccoli florets. Then soak them into hot water for 3 minutes. Dry them completely with a kitchen towel and set aside.
  • Finely chop onions, and ginger. Set aside. Mince the dried broccoli florets in a blender, set aside.
  • Now in a wide bowl, add minced broccoli, mashed potatoes, ginger, onion, salt and bread crumbs.
  • Mix everything well and add lemon juice. Then divide the mixture into equal parts and roll them into patties.
  • Heat  oil in a pan and shallow fry the cutlets at medium low flame for about 5 mins on each side or until golden brown.
