Made with sweet delicious dates (which has its own health benefits) and clubbed with bananas and applesauce, the snack gives the best of the taste and nutrients both.
Banana Oatmeal cookies are healthy and super tasty. They are a fulfilling dish to a kid during evenings or other snack times of the day. Children will relish the taste, and the nutritious value will maintain the health quotient. The mixture of fruit and oats is an excellent source of energy and provides essential nutrients for growing children.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole, pitted, dried dates
- 3 ripe bananas mashed well
- ⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups oats quick or old fashioned
Instructions

Soften dates by covering them with 1 cup of warm water for about 15 minutes. Drain well.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a food processor chop the dates, then mix in bananas, applesauce, and cinnamon, mix until well combined. Add in the oats and pulse until just combined.

Use a tablespoon to drop the cookie batter onto a nonstick or parchment-lined cookie sheet. Space the cookies out by ½ inch. Gently flatten each cookie.

Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove cookies from the oven and let cool on the cookie sheet on a cooling rack for 10 minutes. Remove cookies from the tray and cool completely.
